Baking Corp brings together two of the food industry's most distinctive baked goods businesses — Independent Bakery and Crumb Collective. Together, they cover the full spectrum of the market: from large-scale contract manufacturing for multinationals and QSR operators Australia-wide, to consolidated distribution of baked goods and snacks for foodservice venues across NSW and ACT.

Our Story

In 1994, husband and wife, Bobby and Diane Guberinic founded Cosmopolitan Bakery — a business built on hard work and the kind of old school personal service that kept customers coming back. By 1998, the duo joined together with Nick Mantikos and founded Independent Bakery, bringing that same philosophy with them they spent the following years building something far bigger than a bakery: they built a reputation. One client relationship at a time.

That reputation became the bedrock of everything Baking Corp stands for today.

Bobby and Diane's legacy lives on through their sons BJ and Milan, who have since taken the reins and acquired 100% ownership of Independent Bakery. In 2026, Cosmopolitan Bakery evolved into Crumb Collective, onboarding a curated selection of suppliers to their offering and positioning the brand for a new era of solutions-based foodservice distribution.

What We Do

Baking Corp provides baked goods solutions to all sectors of the market through two distinct and highly specialised brands.

Independent Bakery is our large-scale manufacturing arm — a trusted contract baking partner for market-leading multinationals, quick service restaurants, and major distributors. Independent supplies fresh and frozen baked goods, at volume, with the capability to develop bespoke and private label lines in close collaboration with each client.

Crumb Collective is our distribution arm — a specialist distributor of bakery, patisserie, and snack products serving the foodservice industry across NSW and ACT, six days a week. Built to consolidate the ordering chaos that operators know all too well, Crumb Collective delivers everything a venue needs in a single, streamlined order.
